SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL BOLTS NBC TO #1 LAST WEEK

NBC was #1 last week for the first time this season (18-49 year olds) thanks in
part to the record setting audience for their Sunday Night Football telecast.
CBS was second for the week. FOX and ABC tied for 3rd place.

I'm not sure this something to brag about for NBC. They have to pay a fortune for TV rights so Sunday Night Futbol might not actually be profitable. a self-selected audience seeks out this program and may not be around for its other programming, and after the season ends, they have to fill all this time until next September OR MAYBE NOT, IF THERE'S A STRIKE!

This means the big market teams will always get a primetime game regardless of record.

If the Green Bay Packers were 10-2 and playing a big divisional game with playoff
implications, I guarantee you would see them on there.
