Super Bass to Atlanta, Journey to Utah; The Walk Pt 2

SO, for those of you who remember my "Stereo Love to Atlanta, Journey to Utah" walk, when I dared to walk to Utah from South Phoenix IF "stereo love" was ever played in Atlanta, you know exactly what I'm about to do as I present my "Super Bass to Atlanta, Journey to Utah"  post to you!

If Nicki Minaj's "Super bass" is ever played on Q100 Atlanta, I WILL WALK AGAIN! More details below:

I've decided to do it again! The "Super Bass to Atlanta, Journey to Utah" Walk!

For those of you who have missed it the first time, around December 27, 2010, I announced to everyone that if Q100 Atlanta ever played "stereo love" by Edward Maya, I would walk from South Phoenix, Az. to Utah. It was called my "Stereo Love to Atlanta, Journey to Utah". I am willing to do this again - IF "super bass" is ever played in regular rotation in Atlanta (but this time, wearing clothes!)!

The "Super Bass to Atlanta, Journey to Utah" Walk!

The challenge is on as of Thursday, if "super bass" is never played in between now and then.

(Now before asking why I (also) posted this in the dance section, please use your brain and think about it FIRST before asking...)

Why "Super Bass"? Why not "Mr Saxobeat" which is a dance song that's in heavy rotation on 92.3 Now. It's a bit too hot to walk in the desert.

Well, if I could stand the cold in December, I'm sure I can survive the heat.
..And who are we kidding here? Choosing "Mr Saxobeat" would be cheating because we all know that will NEVER happen!

At least Nicki Minaj "Super Bass" is... well, a possibility. Most of us are aware that it's (supposed to be) a nationwide CHR hit.

Nick is right - a Nicky Minaj getting airplay on Q-100 isn't very relevant to the Dance board.
BTW, "Mr. Saxo Beat" has been getting some airplay in Atlanta during evenings on Wild 105.7.

But "The Walk" was introduced here, first, so it's only appropriate that I also discuss my second walk here as well. "Where them girls at" by Flo Rida ft Nicki Minaj may be added to this as well..... if it's played on WWWQ, I will do an extended walk from Utah to Wyoming.

Only problem, though, is I'm currently in L.A, so I'm not sure how this walk will work out. And if "Super bass" isn't played before "Where them girls at", then I don't know how I'm getting to Utah to do the walk from Utah to Wyoming.

Oh man....

By the way, I believe both Saxobeat and Dancing In The Dark are in rotation on WWVA.

Walk to Vegas from LA ;-)

But you have the right to walk anywhere you want for any reason. We're just suggesting that there's a better reason for you to dedicate a walk to Utah for than "Super Bass" which isn't even a dance song.

Imagine if the program director of Q100 sees this and then plays Super Bass just once out of spite. Would you walk?

I will make a challenge: If 92.3 Now AND Q102 both add Sylvia Tosun - World Keeps Turning, I will walk from Philadelphia to New York City. And if Kiss 108 plays that song too, I will continue my walk to Boston

Well... it has to be songs that should be playing, or one would with no doubt expect to be playing on the station that's not playing it. Anything less is cheating ;D

Well, Hot 97.5 Phoenix is finally playing Swedish House Mafia "Save The World"...maybe you can walk the dog or the kitty. 8)

That's funny. Before Afrojack?

I know sometimes they like to jump on "random" dance songs early, but "Save the world"? Let me guess.... It must have played during the Elvis Duran Show around 6am because WWVA Atlanta, which syndicates the same show in mornings, also had that song played this morning.

I wouldn't dedicate a long walk because a CHR station plays a Nicki Minaj song. But 2 CHRs (one of which is open to playing dance music and one of which used to be a dance station) playing Sylvia Tosun - World Keeps Turning, a song that's getting spins only on dance stations and not on CHR stations by an artist on a small label, is worthwhile to dedicate a walk for. If they'll play Sylvia Tosun, that'll be a sign that dance music has crossed over to mainstream, and can open the door for more dance artists to get played.

And I promise, if I see proof that this song has been added to rotation on Q102 AND 92.3 Now, I will walk from Philadelphia to New York, and take a picture of myself passing through each town along the way to prove it. And if it's also played on Kiss 108, I'll walk from New York to Boston!
Granted, I don't really expect it to be added on all 3, but if it is, I'll lose a lot of weight! And I'm confident I can at least walk from Philadelphia to New York.

That is the whole point right there! Nicki Minaj IS chr! How could a chr completely ignore a chr hit? And this time no one can use the excuse that "it's not fit for that market"...

I mean, the only reason I posted this whole new Walk Part 2 thread here is because this is where my previous walk thread was posted, so it would be more familiar and easier to explain. It just so happens that the first time I promised to walk it was in regard to a chr hit that was also a dance hit, but the second time, well.... not exactly.

Now, on another note, what I don't understand is how "super bass" by Nicki Minaj isn't dance section appropriate, yet the bass remix of "motivation" by Kelly Rowland is? http://boards.radio-info.com/smf/index.php?topic=194306.0 Are we doing the "call it whatever we like" thing again, where whether or not we define it as dance music is based on if we like it or not? Is "Like a G6" dance? Why / why not? By the way, I must admit that "super bass" is beginning to start growing on me...

I didn't post it here, but I did mention why sometimes certain things show up on the 50-100's section of the top 100 plays on yes dot com over the weekends to a few days afterwards.

It's from the Saturday Night Q mixshow and Fox All Access Hits Countdown show! Anyone can play hits during those times! And lastly, anything from 50-100 can easily be changed on yes dot com because the songs in the outer 100 list (50 and above) aren't played as often and can be easily knocked off and replaced if another "unusual" song (or some recurrent) is played two or more times.

It has to be added to REGULAR rotation.

Also notice the other hits missing from that list...
