Jones Radio Networks' Goodtime Oldies is on from 7pm until McGarvey's morning show weekdays...Dave Sanders (Dave's Diner) from 7pm-12mid. and Gary Outlaw in the overnights.
we need the Randall Jones Bettertime Oldies NEtworks is what we need now that id tell my friends and family about!

Youve gotta look at whose making these decisions anyways. Any one know? Mcgarveys the music man and seems like hes got a fairly good head on his shoulders making music choices but i seem that Marck Allen is the operations manager up there and he always seemed to me to have as much raydeeo savie as he does personality which no offense is vary little. I could more think that hed have his head in a dark place I wont say where and not really know hat to do about changes like thise.

Wow, you're just full of compliments aren't you?

BTW, we were #1 in the market playing 80's in the fall. We took an Arbitron kick in the ass after having gotten a kiss.

We're making some clock adjustments and some music adjustments and we'll be back.

Donk McPunch has some sort of bi-polar thing going on.

One post he's sticking his tongue down the back of everyone's trousers who opens a mike at WASK and WKOA, and then almost the very next post he's saying Mark Allen is very limber about where he keeps his noggin. He did the same thing with all his AMP posts: compliments one post and then taking on anyone who would dare to jot down a discouraging word about Art.

If he were to take the PERSONAL ATTACK aspects out of his posts and/or just repeating what everyone else writes OR even putting something down of a remotely FACTUAL nature, there would be very little contribution from the Mayor of Donkeyville!

Well, I'm just as bad by pointing it out, I guess and not ignoring it. But can I get an "Amen", brothers?

If you think I'm wrong, just do a "Greatest Hits" reading of his posts just in the last few days. Cripes!

It's like watching a blind man crossing a busy intersection: you know the outcome is going to be horrible, but your curiousity takes control and you just HAVE to see what he's going to do next.

No bipolar, Laf. Unplugged- but I think the bears are cute! Its just that unlike alot of the people here who feel they have to pat each other back, I have more than one opinion and know that sometims the milkshake doesnt get mixed all the way to the bottom and things are different from time on time. Just becuase you get fudge at first doesnt mean youre not going to get pure strawberry or those crinklynuts that get stuck in your teeth or somethnig later on toward the bottom if theyre not thurough enough. Just like comparing Randall j. to Marck Allen- just because they work at the same radio doesnt mean their both good for radio!

Not the mayor of Donkeyville, just the mayor maybe of donkeypunching! Get the stats!

And I allready said- NO OFFENSE! Ive got bulldog skin your sure to know I heard the sound of certian trouble on the way.

I thought you had an evil twin or something, that's all.

Mark's the operations manager over there, so he is somewhat responsible for the gushing you do all over McGarvey, Jones, and Vizza, wouldn't you think?

To credit them and then go after Mark in the same post is ludicrous.
I think an earlier post about ESPN1450 has you smooching all over Mark and high-fiving him about how the product sounds.

Or when you mention someone paying more for a commercial because of the jock that's on it is jaw-droppingly misinformed about how the sales-to-production-to-air chain works in Lafayette radio the last 20 years.

As I said, I don't even like the whole "personality" aspect of any of these posts in the first place when people "go there" about somebody, but it was maddening to follow you from post to post without thinking it was two different people.

So I had to at least mention it.

I totally respect your right to blather away on here, Donk Piddle, but my head was doing a "Linda Blair" trying to pick up on any consistency of your posts. ;D

I heard "Rescue Me" by Fontella Bass into "I Think I'm in Love" by Eddie Money awhile back. Yikes! You could hear the deafening sound of hundreds of tires screeching on State Road 26!!!

I like Eddie Money ;D

Vizzaman has been around for the ages thankfully so i hadtly think that Marck Allen is responsable for him being on Lafayette radio.

ESPN radio yeah that was a good idea and hopefully its works but I dont even know whos decision that was and even a rotten old goose sometimes will lay the gold egg if you feed it the right meals eh.

I dont know about gushing that I do but its good to be postive sometimes about things like this and not just talk on about how bad the programming on the Bee and wazy are. That will just cause head aches after time.

wouldnt doubt that Vizzaman's commercial spot rates get an extra stipe end just because of his name and how big he is to every one. They advertisers would have to be kookoo puffs to not get that. put it in the book.

and blathering? Were all blathering on this string entirely arent we! Thats what these message sites are all about when it comes down to things.

D-PUNCH: Vizzaman has been around for the ages thankfully so i hadtly think that Marck Allen is responsable for him being on Lafayette radio.

L-Unplugged: Mark is the program director at WKOA. He could decide not to have Bob on anymore tomorrow. Yes, he's responsible for him being on the air.

L-Unplugged: And, no, his spots are not worth more than McGarvey's spots, Dan Sommers' spots, or anybody else's because jocks don't (last time I checked) get paid to do spots. That's part of their job: production duties. And no matter how much clients want only one or two jocks to do their spots, the sales rep AND the PD are there to make sure that doesn't happen. I'll put it in the book alright. The one entitled:
"I've Apparently Never Set Foot in a Radio Station Before".

Lunplugged: Yeah, bro. You were beating Tony B like a red-headed step-child with numerous posts to the point of being childish. It definitely DID cause me a head ache. Because you wouldn't leave it alone.

Hmmm...just like I'm doing right now with this nonsense. Best to just ignore, not respond, and move on.

Like having an argument with a parrot. :'(

Just curious, how many of the staffers onair at wkoa and wask has Marck actually hired on? Im guessing not to many could be wrong. Just shows you something to note.

Ignore me is fine with me Im just trying to celebrate not hate but you seem to certainly like answering back to me so I must have something worthwhile. viva la radio for real! its always going to be the best media no matter what they say and I know we can agree on that no matter what. hear me now?

L-Unplugged --You're doing a lot of choppin', but no chips are flyin'.

D-Punch --This is gonna cause more confusion than a mouse in a burlesque show!

Lemme see....Bob Vizza was there when they put the foundation down. Gary Michaels was MY PD at WKOA. ....Ralph Edwards has been in and out of Shurz at WASK and WKOA. Dave Robers did lots of part time on WASK and WKOA in the 90's. Annie James has been there for a LONG time....I used to work overnights on WASK with her next door! Chuck Smith has been there since high school (think he was related to the promo dir at the time or something...but he is really good IMO) The other KOA staff I don't recognize...so he must have gotten them on.

As for WASK, Randy Jones has been "in and out"....did he bring in Byran M and Dan S?

He is a LANDMARK nothing less. Hear that momma?

Thanks for the curiosity quencher!

Hmmm....

My central point (there WAS one or two. Check the post!) was that I'm sure Mark Allen has wonderful talented super-duper award-winning people working under him and some of them have been there since Moses, but if the TSL, cume, ratings, blah blah blah reflected it was time for a change, he'd also be the guy getting out the pink slips.

So when somebody says, "WASK rules, but Mark Allen sucks", they either don't "get" how his responsibilites work, how companies measure their failure and/or success or they just need to mainline their bipolar meds.

The hiring history of Schurz was not something I was trying to track down necessarily...
