"Survivor 1" winner Richard Hatch has been convicted of tax evasion in the Providence, Rhode Island Federal Court.
There will no doubt be many stories about the verdict on various Internet news sites, but I just heard news of the verdict on WBZ-1030 in Boston and wanted to post it here.
Update, 2:03 P.M. EST: More details on the verdict: Hatch was convicted on three tax evasion charges, but was acquitted of seven charges of wire, mail, and bank fraud. Had he been convicted on all charges, he would have been imprisoned for 73 years.
But since Hatch was convicted on the three tax evasion charges, he will still have to serve a number of years in prison.
Edited by Joseph_Gallant on 01/25/06 07:04 PM.
