Susan Richard New Top-of-Hour WINS Morning Anchor

25 year station veteran Susan Richard replaces Lee Harris as top-of-hour morning anchor on 1010 WINS on 92~3 FM.
Story which includes Audacy press release linked below:

Susan had been anchoring bottom-of-hour in mornings since 2021. She previously was the midday anchor, evening anchor and weekend anchor.
Richard has previously worked at WFAS-FM, WKJY, CD 101.9 + NJ 101.5.

Press release states that "Additional morning team announcements will be made in the coming weeks."
- likely referring to whomever will take Susan's position.

With no disrespect to Susan -- congratulations, by the way -- does it really make any difference whether someone is anchoring the front 30 or the back 30 of an hour? She's still anchoring AM Drive. This is not exactly like asking if you'd rather be (excuse the dated reference) Harry Harrison or Chuck Leonard. Someone tuning in for their 22 minutes and the world is just as likely to come in for the x:11 traffic report as the x:41 one.

The shift from 3 anchors per hour where they each had their own block to 2 anchors per hour with the middle block split in half really makes the bottom of the hour anchor seem like the lesser of the two shifts. Even at WINS the top of the hour has a heavier hard news component than the other two blocks.
