Sweet little lies: Radio host accused of fraud

From the good people at McGannett's Phoenix McPaper who know an awful lot about fraud:

The Securities and Exchange Commission has charged radio host Ray Lucia Sr., who frequently airs on KFNN MoneyRadio 1510 in the Phoenix area, with spreading misleading financial information.

The SEC says that Lucia's "Buckets of Money" investing strategy was not "backtested" as the author claimed during a series of investment seminars across the country that he hosted to drum up potential clients. The seminars were promoted on his radio show.

“Hey, dude, you know that might break the blender, don't you think?” -Dave Ramsey

Maybe he should host a health show like "Dr." Fitness, he makes misleading claims about everything every day, and gets away with it...

Nurse Jeff "backtests" everything he consumes at those "all you can eat" Mexican restaurants in Buckeye! Believe me...what goes in, definitely comes out. And then some.

Of all the moneytalkers on KFuNN, Lucia has the best show and his "buckets of money" strategery is good advice. The SEC should turn this case over to the FCC....after they've reviewed the documents, maybe they can review 15~Ten's blatant disregard for lowering power during the winter months.

Ahemmm.

Bring back KDKB 15~Ten!

You mean the dittoheads are getting milked by their talk radio masters?

Captain Renault phoned in from Casablanca to announce that he was shocked that such a thing could happen.

Let's talk to Wonderful Russ, Russell Shaw. Maybe he can do some more spots for, "LEPP-LA, LEPP-LA moving & Storage" KDKB 15- Ten...

I've been out of the market for a few years now, but I miss those Russell Shaw spots. I got a kick out of them because he sounds just like one of my ex-bosses in radio nearly 20 years ago.
So much so that I half expect him to come out of my speaker and ask me why I added that G---D--- record to the playlist.
That boss wasn't in Phoenix, incidentally. But when I first heard Shaw, I joined the spot in progress, and I wondered when that ex-boss had relocated.

Could this be a trend? I only have an investment portfolio of $999,999.99 so I can't go to the seminar that requires a million dollars net worth.
