WFLZ is down to a 2.2 share. They need to do something.

As far as WFLZ's share, their hd-2 Pride Radio, has a 0.4 which is about 18% of the primary. For cume, the hd-2 has 5% of the primary signal. It's shocking how badly FLZ is doing in a market without any competitor.

Some people complain, "Why do these All-Christmas stations play such old music?" Most of it between the 1990s (Mariah Carey) and the 1940s (Bing Crosby). Won't that drive away younger listeners? Well, here's the reason why...

WDUV #1 25-54, 18-49, 18-34. WMYX #2 25-54, 18-49, 18-34. Even the youngest demo is fine with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Natalie Cole, Burl Ives, Karen Carpenter, Andy Williams, Vince Guaraldi, all gone now. And some more mature artists: Brenda Lee, Barbra Streisand, Cher, Harry Connick Jr., Michael Buble, Josh Grobin, Amy Grant, Anne Murray, Barry Manilow, Air Supply, Kenny G.

Agree, she is is too overplayed. But now somehow Swiftmania has been turned into a political thing. I don't think she has ever expressed a political side, so how in the world did that happen?

Whatever the case may be, WFLZ needs to address their ever-sinking numbers. They definitely play the same songs over and over again. That is the nature of CHR, but WFLZ doesn't seem to introduce much in the way of new music. They manage to still overplay oldies from the early 2000s.

A Timeline of Taylor Swift’s Political Evolution

Thanks for the information. I appreciate you providing that link. She has clearly expressed some views. Still, she is not exactly the most political of pop-stars.

CHR has several problems. Current pop music just isn't very radio-friendly, too many slow songs, extremely female.

And the younger demos get their music elsewhere and just don't use radio to the same degree as earlier generations.
