Tampa Ratings July 2024 - The Vibe Continues To Trend Up

Mix takes third, but I would bet any amount of $$$ WTBV surpasses them. It is truly an adult R&B success story, coming out of nowhere to fill a format void. I think we could be looking at a Cox one-two powerhouse with WDUV soon.

FLZ is still playing a mix of older songs both R&B and pop. Btw they moved Brian Fink evening show from Sat to Fri. evening.

I just checked their last 20 songs played. There was only one golden oldie. Nelly -Ride With Me.

I really think that WFLZ is playing more currents than previously. Still, CHR should not play a song which is old enough to legally drink.

I have to give some recognition to 98.7 The Shark. That station is definitely punching above its weight class these days. The pivot to a traditional classic rock format (and abandonment of the gimmicky "next generation of classic rock" angle) has done wonders for them.

The Vibe has been a smash success so far. It and Miami's Magic 94.9 will prove to be 2024's biggest "new station" success stories, in my opinion.
