Tampa Ratings June 2025 - Joy Puts K-Love On Notice

Joy reclaims the top spot that it claimed in the March book, awaiting 98.7's transition to K-Love. The Dove dropped 1.3 points.

Meanwhile 98 Rock powers up to 5th place, and it's the Bucs offseason! US 103.5 falls hard, while Rumba has a big gain to finish tied with Wild for 12th place.

The Vibe, which was a Top 5 darling long ago, drops to 15th place. What happened?

And the Beat, still the lowest-rated non-Spanish, non-Public FM, doubles its share - but is still looking up at the likes of 3 Spanish stations. WMNF at 1.7 - is that a record?

I’ve explained this before. When The Vibe started, the music was older and more mass appeal. Now it’s gotten slightly more contemporary and deeper. That’s good for the core audience, but they lose the fringe.

I don’t know what your obsession is with The Beat. It’s a translator and an out of town signal. It is not comparable to full power Tampa signals and will never perform as well. You might as well complain about 97X’s low ratings too.

Amazing how the Salem right-wing mouthpiece -- cookie-cutter 860 "The Answer" -- is nowhere to be found on the list.
Imagine the previous music format on the once great station did better.

Is Salem even subscribed in that market?
