Tampa Ratings November 2024 - Vibin’ A New Record

The Vibe rises to 2nd with a 6.7, a new record high for the frequency, so says Chris Huff. Seven of the top nine stations dipped, including Mix (but wait till the next book). Maxima is up over 1 point, as is Rumba on its new signal. FLZ and the Shark are also up.

And Q is - once again - the lowest rated, non-Spanish, non-public, non-translator FM signal. But hey, it actually went up 0.2 points! Will it find more listeners during the holiday period? Time will tell.

Classic Hits Q105 WRBQ isn't terrible. Its ratings went up slightly. But for a long time, WRBQ was a top five station. In a market like Tampa with plenty of baby boomers, you'd think Q105 would do better. Unless they're all listening to WDUV?

The Dove was nearly in double digits. The Vibe was #2 but wow, there was quite a gap between WDUV and WTBV. That Dove is flying high.

106.5/102.9 is a ratings disaster!

iHM could've simply flipped 95.7 back to Urban AC when 101.5 was still programming CHR. Seems like a large opportunity missed for iHM.

@Gregg. I forgot to point out in my OP that the Dove also dipped but, like Mix, they will rebound with the holiday hits.

@MarkW - You’d think iHeart would have beaten CMG to the punch, what with CMG’s adult R&B stations elsewhere in the state.

Q's cume is right where some of the much higher performing stations are. People are listening to/being exposed to Q. They just aren't sticking around.
