For two books now QYK is officially trading blows with FUS.
They're only "Classic Hits" in branding. Would you consider Def Leppard, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Poison, Quiet Riot, AC/DC, Twisted Sister, Guns n Roses, etc classic hits?Of course the Eagle won’t play them because they are Classic Hits and not Classic Rock.

I wouldn't know for sure, but I'd guess they might have been #1 18-49 on a handful of ocassions in the early-mid 2000s, when the Rhythmic format was red hot nationwide. Those demo ranks results for WLLD are both stunning and outstanding.
Has the station *ever* been #1 in persons 25 to 54 or persons 18 to 49 prior to 101.5's decision to ditch CHR?
Detroit's WKQI is #2 with a 7.2 share. Not sure what they are doing right. WFLZ is could almost brand itself "Oldies 93.3". They are still playing Usher from the early 2000's.Maybe Tampa can't support two mainstream Top 40 CHR stations. But surely it can support one.
The format is having a hard time in some places. But in others, it's fine. Z100 NYC #4, KIIS LA #6, KMVQ San Francisco #4, WXKS Boston #5.
Every current hit station plays throwback songs. It's about trying to reach older demos as well.Detroit's WKQI is #2 with a 7.2 share. Not sure what they are doing right. WFLZ is could almost brand itself "Oldies 93.3". They are still playing Usher from the early 2000's.

Sure, throwbacks, but at 20 years old, a song is an oldie.
Sure, throwbacks, but at 20 years old, a song is an oldie. If you were to go back to 1998, WFLZ would never had played anything from the disco era. They probably wouldn't have touched anything from the 1980s that late in the the 1990s.
Unfortunately for WFLZ not enough people like the music they are playing. A 2.3 share without a direct competitor is anemic.
