Usually not much ever surprises me about the Tampa book, but I am a little surprised that FLZ didn’t get at least even a little bump after Hot’s departure. Looking around to other markets, a lot of iHeart CHRs are not doing well. So they might have a bigger problem than just Tampa.

What jumps out at me is that Q-105 WRBQ is up more than 1 point. I guess MJ and his morning show will continue for another year at least and perhaps a great contract extension for Todd.

DUV slipped a bit, almost 2 whole points. (But going into holidays, this won't be that way for long)
Q105 did go up. The Shark rose too.
97x more than doubled itself, but yeah that's not much.
WDUV's stream pulled better numbers than WRUB's FM signal did, but I guess there's a valid, billing reason they're still around. 'Cause otherwise even WFLA would likely do better there at 106.5 + it's network of translators.
And the Beat goes on, just curious who's still hearing it. 'Cause the Vibe is stronger.

I’m not sure it had anything to do with MJ. Notice the WDUV and WMTX decreases. I think listeners who weren’t ready for Christmas music switched to Q105.

Perhaps they dug out the Johnny Mathis too early. I don’t think it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas yet on November 1st in the sunshine state.

Remember, most of the "November" book is in October and it ended before most stations started Christmas music play.

And the December book is mostly in November, and the Holiday book is 3/4 in December.

I wish there was an easy way to see the exact dates each book covers. I’ve done a web search and found it in the past, but I don’t want to go through all that every time.

Not sure about the other ways to view monthlies available, but I do notice RadioInsight puts the sampling dates into the header on their charts.

Thanks. I don’t usually view the ratings there because I don’t like the layout. But from now on I’ll remember that they include the dates of the book.

PPM Survey Schedule 2023-2024 - just updated within the last few weeks -
(scroll down one page to see the PPM Schedule):
https://www.arbitron.com/downloads/Survey_Schedule.pdf

Note that the 2024 Holiday Survey (13 months from now) will have 5 weeks instead of the customary 4 weeks so that the PPM survey dates fall closer to the actual calendar dates. If they did not add the additional week, eventually the December period would drift into being totally November calendar-wise. As it is, there will always only be a few December calendar days in a typical December survey.

Also: in my leadoff post for these ratings threads, I always note the calendar dates that the just-released survey covers.

WFLZ isn't alone in a CHR with bad ratings, but 2.3 is quite spectacularly bad without any competition.

I'm surprised that WDUV isn't seen in the top 6 in the 25-54 ratings. The Dove is consistently the #1 Tampa station. You hear it in most stores and offices.

It is interesting that WHPT The Bone is tied for #2 in the 25-54 demo. Hot Talk is a format almost unknown outside of Tampa and Orlando. iHeart is trying to get a Hot Talk station started in Dallas but it's tough. KEGL is tied for #26 in Dallas.
