Tampa-St. Petersburg Radio Ratings: August 2015

The August 2015 survey period covers Thu. 7/16/15 - Wed. 8/12/15 -
publicly released data for subscribing stations age 6+ overall:

Next report will be for the September 2015 survey period covering Thu. 8/13/15 - Wed. 9/9/15.
The data release date will be Wed. 9/30/2015 (delayed one day due to Yom Kippur on 9/22-23/2015).
 
I know these are not the most accurate measurements, but some things are hard to deny and number 1 WDUV is slowly losing it's grip, in spite of them revamping their format and trying to appeal to a slightly younger demographic.

Also WFLA AM is still the number one talk station and number one AM station, which it consistently has been, although it seems as though not so long ago, in this type of survey it usually made the top 10.(and IIRC correctly not all that long ago, WFLA was making the top 5).

I had not been paying attention to the last few ratings; I had assumed that WQYK and WFUS were still neck and neck the the Tampa/St Pete ratings. (In eastern Hernando, one is just as likely to hear people listeing to 97.5 out of Winter Haven and 93.7 out of Ocala as well as WFUS - the 99.5 signal is
noticeably weaker than 103.5 in eastern Hernando

Also found it interesting that WSMR- classical 89.1 (and translator 103.9) is so consistent in this measurement, a .4 in the last four rating periods.

Just some observations on my part.
