Tegna's WXIA Sues Cobb County Sheriff's over the records in relation to inmate deaths

An Atlanta broadcast news station has filed a lawsuit against Sheriff Neil Warren, accusing Cobb County’s top cop of violating the Open Records Act by refusing to turn over investigative files of inmates who have died in custody.

WXIA-TV, the NBC news affiliate known as 11Alive News to viewers, says Warren and the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office’s records custodian refused to produce case files concerning the deaths of three Adult Detention Center inmates. According to the lawsuit filed last week in Cobb County Superior Court, the news station contends the sheriff’s office told them that an active investigation prevents them from releasing the files.

Its not unusual for these municipalities to have several lawsuits going at one time. I was surprised at how many my little township had going.
I think its because they have incompetent people in government. In my township it was determined that the mayor never got out of the 10th grade (due to pregnancy) and didn't know what illegal search and seizure was.
Guess you heard about the settlement in Louisville KY. Twelve million dollars. Sure to wipe out the pension fund.
And in Gwinnett County a cop stomped on a teen's face. Cruel and unusual punishment for sure. That teen will have his ENTIRE college education paid for by the citizens of Gwinnett County.
