It's one big space that can divided to suit the needs of the show. When they wheel out the sets, you can see just how big a space it is. There's also a balcony that doesn't get used much these days. The studio was originally designed to accommodate the NBC Symphony Orchestra and later the Kraft Music Hall.

According to an article on Wiki, studio 8H at 30 Rock is 3,955 square feet, making it the largest studio there, but not by much. Studio 6B is almost as large, at 3,690 square feet.

I have taken the NBC NYC tour a couple of times, and actually had the chance to see Letterman in 6A on his late night show in the 80's. Jimmy Fallon is currently in 6B, though used 6A for much of the pandemic.
 
It’s funny. I’ve only seen 8H with the usual set, though I know SNF also used it for a time. Seeing Fallon and Myer’s studios feels bigger perceptually, but it’s all relative.

Is that 8H with nothing in it. Don't forget SNL has permanent sets built in. Home base and the performance stage take up room.

Studio 8-H was notorious for its dead acoustics during Arturo Toscanini's NBC Symphony Orchestra tenure, and you can hear that on the vintage recordings. NBC and RCA were very much aware of those issues, which is why in the later Toscanini years most recordings were made at Carnegie Hall.
 
8H is definitely an historic studio. NBC ran their election coverage out of there for decades. Back when tv coverage of such was important.
