Tell me the stuff you like, good stuff, about San Diego radio.

I miss crusty Bob Hudson's snarkiness on the radio. Now I have to call him and it takes him .02 seconds to get in the character. Last head on Planet FM.

I enjoy the Mikey Show at Rock 105.3, and AJ's Playhouse Channel 933. DSC is always good for a romp especially with Steve Poltz is in town.

Music wise, Hilary, and the entire crew of 94/9 FM kick axe.

Mat at 91X is hitting good product.

But for office background, it has to be Sonny, Susan and Kevin, plus Sam and the Greener at KyXy. No-insult radio and the music selection surprises me sometimes.

but most of all, I like local radio 24/7.

I agree with Chris about "crusty" Bob Hudson on The Planet and with the Jones's morning show. The only station I liked after that was KLSD and Stacy Taylor. Now I listen to my iPOD 90% of the time and if I listen to the radio at all, it's KSDS Jazz 88.3 from City College. Great jazz (real jazz) no commercials and professional "air talent".

coe louis and good old jim mcinnes.cant forget about the dsc.cris boyer, ruth 66,bromo,voice in the head, bud schlitz... ;D

Yes can't forget Coe and JM in The PM formerly on the FM

You know there are still some great things in San Diego radio. After over 30 years KGB-FM is still doing the exact same thing with the exact same music that they played 30 years ago. And sky show is still alive, and Bromo is still in his thong. all is still right with the world.

Oh and KOGO is still San Diego's news leader

94.1 never ever did well in the ratings throughout its entire life (from KFSD-FM, KOGO-FM, KFSD-FM again, The Eagle, KJOY soft and easy, soft oldies, oldies, My 94.1). CC turned it around and built it into a formidable ratings leader. But they also have a really great PD there that cares and works at perfecting the station.....Jimmy Steele

KyXy is still doing the same thing and it employees some of the finest personalities in the history of broadcasting; Gene Knight, Sam Bass, Sonny West. Good job KyXy, just bring back Yvonne Carlin

Tommy Hough on 94.9 in the mornings.

Actually all of FM 94.9.

Monique and The Man on 100.7 Jack FM but only when she's on vacation and I can just listen to music and no banter. :p

Bobbie Hill formerly of KGB

No one ever mentions KIFM 98.1 Smooth Jazz. They have a top notch line-up all day long. Jay is great and Kelly Cole epitomizes cooool jazz.

The morning show is a little weak, but Debbie Cruz has a sexy voice. The good thing is that they get back to the music faster than any other talking heads.

They get good ratings, so I guess other listen as well and like them.

Any other thoughts about them?
