Tennis Channel: The Redheaded Stepchild Of Comcast's Sports Networks

The FCC has ruled that Comcast had given "preferential channel placement" to Golf Channel and Versus, while restricting Tennis Channel to premium tiers, and that they "must give Tennis Channel carriage equal to its own similarly-situated channels".

(By the way, I wonder if RBR knows that Versus has been called NBC Sports Network since the start of the year...)

In the end, subscribers end up hurting the most. By these channels forcing themselves into lower tiers, that means that we all have to pay for them, and not just people who want to watch the channel. Same thing happened with other sports networks. As a result, the price for Digital Preferred, the package that will now include that channel, has already been increased a few bucks a month, and will likely be increased more.
