tesimony of don henley-recording artist coalition. before the senate

if people really want to know know about the connections [conspiracy] between the recording industry and radio, log on to "commerce.senate.gov-pdf-henley013003.pdf this is testimony by don henley before the senate. also,
salon.com radio's big bully.
then you will see how hits are created. it has nothing to do with talent, but with the recording indutries connections with radio. and why certain genres are big[rap and hip hop] it's not because it's good, it's what is being pushed by the recording industry on to the radio stations and then on to the people.

The first link is incomplete and dead ends.

A couple questions for Doo Wop fans to ponder.

PBS thinks enough of the music to run it during their beg-a-thons. They know there are enough fans around that go for their checkbooks when it's presented. That's called making money. So.......why don't radio corps. searching for formats realize this? Could it be those in charge don't have a clue? Nah!!

i think there is a difference between making money in a responsible manner, and in not caring how that money is made. you have stations that care about what kind of format they have, and owners who just want to hop on the bandwagon. and in the process, have a hand in dumbing down society.
