Texas HD Station To Debut Worlds First Artificial Intelligent Radio DJ

It is certainly an interesting concept, but I don't see that it will help HD-Radio all that much. It is not specific to HD-Radio, rather it is simply being tested on an HD2 sub-channel.

Quite honestly, I have never been impressed with artificial intelligence software. It has come a long ways from the early days of ELIZA, which I still have a form of on a 5.25" floppy disk. But listeners will be able to tell the difference. I almost think this would cause more harm than good.

Combine that AI DJ with Jelli and we won't need any radio staff besides engineers and sales people. The listeners would vote for the music and the robo-jock would talk on the air.

You my friend are awesome. You took it old school with mentioning ELIZA.

You said AI has never really impressed you. You should really look into Denise.

Here is an older demo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W52TL9Akv4

The reason why Guile used Microsoft Sam to interact with Denise because English is not Guiles first language. So he made it simple.

Here is a news story that ran in Brazil where Denise is in an entire apartment complex. Every apartment has her. The story is not in English but check out the closed captions.

Oh crap. It's times like this I'm mad at FOX for their harsh takedown of Simpsons videos because I just got a vivid memory of a bit they did with an automated DJ on KBBL or whatever. "How about those politicians? Aren't they something?" "Hey, this guy's good." ;D

OK, listened long enough to hear "her" (i.e. forever). If that's the competition, I ain't worried. If you can sell that to a GM, you clearly need to get into the sales end of the broadcasting business.

Here is the trailer for the film that Denise and myself are now apart of…

Here is Denise… (This video is pretty good)

(Keep in mind I had to slow the speed of her voice. Not everyone is a fast listener)

Here is more information about Denise's role in film and even videos from a hater or two who disapprove of the concept.
