TRHOF members confirmed what we in Georgia already knew by voting to induct Randy Brown. Randy's Brown Media is headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia (metro Atlanta). He is Director of the annual Georgia Radio Hall of Fame Induction and Awards program and producer of video used in those programs. Some may be see on the organizations Facebook page and web site www.grhof.com. Congratulations to Randy and all of the 2009 inductees.

TRHOF should make the voting tallies public. Congratutaltions to those who made it,but once again several others behind the scenes who made the great ones great are left out. It would be nice if it was a simple ballot without the campaigning.

What a silly idea it would be to list how many votes each nominee receives in the Texas Radio Hall of Fame voting! All that is important is the final list of inductees.

Besides, it would probably embarrass those nominees who might not get as many votes as they or their friends thought they would.

Participation is the key! If you don't nominate and you don't vote, you are just a bystander.

Get involved and vote! It's easy o become a voting member. Just go to the www.texasradiohalloffame.com site and you can become a voting member.

Are YOU a voting member or are you just a bystander who likes to talk about it?

Making the vote totals public might embarrass some inductees unnecessarily.

To answer the question , yes I am a voting member. Its no more embarassing then a candidate for political office whose votes fall short being open to the public. Yes I know its not a public office election, but it owuld be nice for some reformation of the procedure. As it stands currently, its questionable. Again no slight intended for those who were voted in.

With all due respect, comparing inductees into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame with political candidates is apples and oranges ... or maybe tangerines.

No Individual comparisons, just the process itself and how it needsto be a little more open.

Touche'. Forgive me. It was late night typing and failure to be a speed typist combined.

OK. You're forgiven ... this time.

Don't let it happen again. ;).

He still gets a failing grade, and must report to detention hall pronto. :D

I like everything about the 2009 approach to the election. I especially like that the banquet will be held somewhere else than Dallas (Houston) and that the inductees seem to be more spread out this year with respect to where primarily served.

Finally, the breakdown of where votes came from, I think, does a pretty good job of dispellig that the TRHF is mostly about Dallas-Ft. Worth.
