The 2 best days of Sports TV viewing are nearly upon us

The first two days of the NCAA Basketball Tournament!!!

Is there a website out there that shows what affiliates are getting which games?

Please, please, please CBS............ give me Gus Johnson doing a close game so I can witness his coronary!

We clearly have a case of March Madness here. It will soon be followed by April Anxiety, May Mania, and June Jumpiness.

The only cure is to thrill to every exciting play. Pump your fist with each score. Jump up and down and chant:

N-C-A-A Basketball - TOURNAMENT! YAAAAY!

You should be fine by the NBA Finals.

And their is a website where you can watch out of market games your local CBS station is not airing. Here is the website http://mmod.ncaa.com/?source=mktg_09MMOD_hpto3.15
Don't forget The CBS College Sports Channel if carried on your cable or sat.
They are rolling it for free during the first round (maybe also the second) of the tourney.
It'll carry the out of market games running concurrently with your local CBS game.

It's not worth a subscription outside of the next 2 weeks, TBQH.

I remember last year all the games were available online for free on that site, regardless of what game the local station was getting.

???

Not a fan of regular season college football, basketball, baseball, and certain Olympic sports? There's good stuff to watch on CBS-CS outside of March Madness.

I'm just happy Billy Packer's not with CBS anymore

And that Duke Dick Vitale isn't and hopefully never will be. ;D

Unfortunately it looks like the days of local stations carrying all the games are over. At least they are in Phoenix, with KPHO-TV only carrying two at a time - one on 5.1 in HD (same game on analog Channel 5) and another in SD on 5.2. I thought it was possible to carry 2 SD programs and one HD on the same channel.

What's a bracket nerd to do?

From what I found out a few minutes ago, CBS (or the NCAA - not sure which) will no longer allow their affiliates to carry more than 2 games at once beginning this year. According to this message board, only DirecTV can carry all the games at once, for $70.

True or not, I have no idea, but that's the only info I've been able to find.

Couple of observations:

- Even though many are glad Packer is gone, Clark Kellogg just hardly has any personality at all. I know the analysis is the most important thing, but come on, pep me up a little!

- The CBS College Sports network (formerly CSTV) is doing a pretty good job with their coverage. They're also showing live look-ins on games that may not get as much coverage on the regular CBS affiliates.

- I really think the local CBS station based in a school's hometown should show the ENTIRE game for the fans/students in that particular city. I think it's unfair how they have it set up now.

- Has anyone tried the online viewing for the games? I couldn't get it to work on my computer.

Kellogg is a knowledgeable analyst, but he's better in-studio.

Works in Vista with Silverlight 2 (Micro$oft's latest Flash competitor) with both IE and Firefox. Don't know about XP or Mac (both are supposed to work but I don't have either one). Deliberately shut out of Linux.

I tend to agree, but CBS only has so many feeds available. I don't guess they have enough to do an HD feed of every game without cut-ins plus an HD feed with cut-ins plus the national feed.

It seems like the cut-ins have been more schitzophrenic this year. I was _trying_ to watch the Ohio State vs Sienna game Friday night. CBS just started flipping back and forth between that game and the Wisconsin Florida State game. They probably switched between the two games 5 times in the space of one minute, game time.
