The $6 Million Dollar Suit: The "Man" Is Not "Cowed" by Emmis

Re: The $6 Million Dollar Suit: The "Man" Is Not "Cowed" by Emmis

Some of this should be easy to prove or disprove. Is there a tape of the former staffer impersonating Mancow? Can we get advertisers to testify they received fetid rotting meat from the station? Otherwise it is all sour grapes. The city is surviving without him and that's what is bothering him.

Plus in the article, Crawford Broadcasting withdrew a bid for his show. Are you kidding me? Why would they try to put his show on one of their stations? I don't believe he fits the demo that Crawford goes after in the Chicago market. Plus, mentioning Power 92 doesn't cover the northern suburbs that well, and especially not Lake & McHenry Counties & parts of northern Cook County. I don't believe Crawford Broadcasting would have picked up his show anyway.

Re: The $6 Million Dollar Suit: The "Man" Is Not "Cowed" by Emmis

If I'm not mistaken Mancow was on a hip hop station in California before coming to Chicago.

He must have a written offer from Crawford or he wouldn't have included the charge. I would assume his lawyers would advise what kind of evidence he must provide as proof.

At first read the case seems quite funny. But then after reading the article again I couldn't believe his former GM verbally insulted him to the press. Isn't that the sort of thing he's suing Emmis for? Badmouthing him in the market?
