I heard Hot N Cold on Magic 98.3 tonight. I checked my radio, it said 98.3, not 92.3 or 100.3. I had never expected to hear that song on Magic 98.3, and it doesn't seem to fit in with AC.
In Connecticut, Boston, Delaware, Maryland, and DC, I noticed that the AC stations don't play as many new songs as the AC stations from NYC, Philly, and NJ. WEBE 108, Lite 100.5, and 101.9 Lite FM are the best sounding AC stations I've heard, they don't play the crap that CHRs beat to death.
But out of all the AC stations I receive here, Magic 98.3 is the most "mainstream" AC.

I just don't want to hear Katy Perry on the AC station!!!
 
I think these stations are trying to sound hip and trying to sound a little younger to draw a broader audience....I don't have a problem with it if it does not disturb the flow....In Philly I found it odd to hear Lady Gaga on 97.5 as well.

Lady Gaga is probably the hottest artist right now. 97.5 is a Hot AC station. The soccer moms love Gaga
 
I agree totally that GAGA is huge..I just wasn't expecting to hear her on an AC...it took me by surprise
