The beginning of the end of KZEP?

I understand why they moved KZEP to 93-3, now. Thought it was automated, guess not though.

My suggestion would be to get WOAI on 93-3, but I don't know if that will happen. If not they could launch Alternative, which SA has lacked. Or EDM.
I'd suggest old school hip-hop for them, but that might be too close to Hot (which still has the KZEP call letters, LOL).

Ticket 760?

I'm listening to KZEP online and in the player window, it says "Ticket 760" instead of KZEP...

From AllAccess: Three News Staffers Cut At WOAI
"Three news staffers have been cut at iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk WOAI-A/SAN ANTONIO, including veteran newsman MICHAEL MAIN, reports the SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS' JEANNE JAKLE.MAIN, anchor/reporter BERIT MASON, and reporter STEPHANIE NARVAEZ were let go TODAY (12/12), according to JAKLE.* MAIN had been with WOAI for almost 30 years."

Why do they do this around the holidays? :(

Most companies do this because it's the end of the year, which often matches the end of their fiscal year, and they want their numbers and margins to look a certain way. I've always heard good things about Crash, and it's always sad to hear bad things happen to good people. It's awful, and it happens in all industries.

As for KZEP, the beginning of the end was probably when they slid it to 93.3, or maybe even earlier than that, like when the numbers first started going down.
