The 103.1 pirate apparently broadcasting from the East Providence area.
After running everything from Barry Scott's Lost 45s to some 80s show to smooth jazz over the past year, yesterday early afternoon I caught some rock programming (Doors, Grateful Dead, & even Traffic's John Barleycorn) interspersed with comedy bits like snippets of The Honeymooners & a spot for Bear Whizz Beer. The signal remained strong from the EP/Seekonk area to my place around the Providence/North Providence area.
Later in the day I never lost the signal riding around when he was running a Father's Day special of Rock On hosted by Ray Manzarek of The Doors, interviewing rock dads like Bill Wyman, Paul McCartney, & Donovan & playing their music.
Of course yesterday wasn't Father's Day so he was a week off & will probably flip by next Sunday, but it was good while it lasted.
