'The Big Guy' Brad Cesmat set to leave KTVK-TV Channel 3

Good choice Brad! When people review their lives, very few regret that they didn't work enough hours on the job.

Brad referenced the article during tonight's (27 May) 10:00 PM broadcast. He said he'll discuss more about it during the days leading up to final appearance.

I thought Brad was a good pickup for KTVK. Interested to see who takes his place.

Brad's a great guy. I enjoyed working with him at KTAR and I hope (if it works for him and his family) that we'll be able to see or hear him soon.

To whom it may concern;

Brad Cesmat just announced that tonight will be his final broadcast and he will take a look back on The Sports Show tonight at 9:30 p.m.

Good luck to him on future endeavors.

Sorry I stand corrected. Final Sports Show, just announced he is leaving on Thursday.

Any news of Brad's replacement. I suspect that Tyloer Baldwin may fill-in if they don't have a new sportscaster already hired.

Former,

Baldwin, since he already does some sports coverage, would be a good temp replacement. However, I've heard Tess Rafols mention this a couple of times, that GMAZ Saturday is their top-rated news program. Not sure if Mgmt would want to break up Rafols & Baldwin, or he would have a short turn from Friday Night to Saturday Morning.

I'd rather have Baldwin as a sports guy than an anchor. To me, most of the time Baldwin tries to talk like he's "super-cool" and it annoys me.

@Brian4, Baldwin co-anchored the Friday night Football show during the fall and turned around to do GMAZ Saturday. In addition, Tyler usually files a live report on Saturday GEAZ at 5pm and substitute-anchored on both Saturday evening newscasts a couple of times. It makes a long couple of days, but hopefully it would mean that his whole week is shortened.

Brad Cesmat signed off for the final time tonight. They showed a short video including a couple of bloopers and his last interview with late ASU football coach Bruce Snyder. He said he was going to keep doing the Big Guy Turkey Drive. Brad didn't exactly say what he was going to be doing to help financially support his wife and four kids.

Good Luck Brad!

You were absolutely right. Changing through channels caught Tyler Baldwin reporting on Good Evening Arizona Sunday Edition. He also filed a report for GMAZ Sunday, taped of course. ]

He is great on sports but please don't take him away from GMAZ Saturday. He and Tess make a great "on air husband-wife team" and as you pointed out have the highest ratings. Tyler has to be small part of those ratings. ;D ;D

Tyler is definitely on a roll with KTVK. He's relatively young and can easily do weekend sports and Saturday GMAZ for the time being (particularly since 3TV's late newscast is done by 10pm at the latest and GMAZ Saturday starts at 7am).
