The Big Valley gets a "restored and uncut" run on Encore Westerns

They had a New Years Day marathon which I missed but I saw the pilot episode tonight, and it looked and sounded pretty damn good! It's on twice at 11am and 7pm Monday thru Frday. Alias Smith and Jones is on at 6pm nightly and the old Gene Autry show comes before that at 5:30. Sam Peckenpah's very short lived "The Westerner" has finally been retired from the schedule (How many times can you show a 13 episode series FIVE DAYS A WEEK???!!) Now if only Encore Action or Mystery would pick up some good classic series again. (What ever happened to The Avengers?)

BBC America has it now -- as I heard, they squished the credits and cut out the last scene (the "throwaway" one that followed the last commercial).
