It is WMFL 88.5 FM, licensed to Palmetto Bay, Florida. Now with coverage in the heart of South Miami-Dade all along the coast from Florida City to Miami including the entire Kendall area. The previous WMFL owners were going to turn in the license and dismantle the radio station in 2021. The license was "donated" to Call Radio in exchange for covering the costs to dismantle WMFL at the end of the site lease. Call Radio filed an application with the FCC to move WMFL 20 miles north and requested a community of license change to Palmetto Bay - a move within the Miami urbanized area permitted under the rules. This opportunity was actually made possible 30 years ago (in 1994) when WDNA 88.9 FM expanded coverage via a waiver by agreeing to accept any 2nd adjacent channel interference from WMFL and which stipulated that granting the 1994 WDNA upgrade would not prevent future modifications of WMFL (this condition is in the "fine print" of both stations' FCC licenses to this day). That answers the question posted 12 years ago in this forum: "So what will become of that little 88.5 on Card Sound Road? Not much can be done with a non-com with no coverage."
