An upcoming kissing contest at West Towne Mall is generating controversy among lesbian and gay advocates because the rules exclude same-sex couples.
The second annual "Connie and Fish Kiss-Off," sponsored by the Top 40 radio station Z104 FM, will involve 30 listeners and their partners to kiss in front of Boston Store starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The pair that locks lips the longest will win a trip to Jamaica.
The rules posted on the Z104 Web site, www.z104fm.com, as of Wednesday night say "contestants in the contest must be of the opposite sex." ...
