Winners of the first-annual CT Broadcasters Association Awards included recognition of Fred Santore, WKCI-FM as Connecticut’s Best Engineer, as well as a nod to WEDH-TV for their Best Use of Digital Media with their story CT’s Hidden History of Slavery. Best Photojournalist (TV) was awarded to Jose Gomez of WVIT-TV, Best Feature News Story (TV) went to Cop Saves Baby’s Life from WTNH-TV, Best Station went to WEBE, and the Univ of Hartford's WWUH was named Best Non-Commercial Station,
