THE DEATH OF SMOOTH JAZZ!!!! CD-101.9 GONE. IS LOVE 94 NEXT???

Hey Guys and Gals:

4PM today, the death of another legendary station took place. This time back in New York!! WQCD-CD 101.9 went bye bye for AAA!!! 20 years gone!! I guess they didn't learn from the dibocal of CBS-FM. So far that is 2 smooth jazz stations that I know of that bit the dust. (2nd=KOAI-THE OASIS DALLAS 20 year station as well) Well, does anybody think Love 94 is next??
It is a shame that heritage means nothing to radio anymore. (feeling sad as i write this) My opinion on this too many vocals (Dobbie Brothers, Earth Wind And Fire) and not enough "JAZZ".

The problem with Love 94 is that they are not a true Jazz station anymore. Urban AC is more like it.

Hey Culprit:

I would have to agree with you on it not being a true jazz station anymore!! I wouldn't say Urban/AC. I would say more Soft/AC. I hear songs from Phil Collins, Genisis, Dobbies, Chicago, Steely Dan, and Sting. I remember when CD -101.9 Started, they had none of the songs you hear now on Love 94 or the ones I just mentioned. The only vocals they played were jazz oriented vocal artists.
