The December 2006, 1000 Hz tone unidentified station on 1610 kHz.

Now that it has been nearly 2 years since this station existed, what was the actual outcome of the "who, what, why and where" about this certain station that blanketed the entire east coast with 10,000 watts of "1000 Hz tone" POWER on 1610 kHz! This was a killer signal, indeed. Does anybody have the "straight dope" on what was the outcome about this unique station. This inquiring mind wants to know.

It was not an engineer testing equipment at all. There are only 2 stations on 1610, both are from Canada, and only 1 broadcasts at 10 thousand watts in the daytime, and back then it was 1000 watts both day and night. Both had been running normal programming the whole time. From what I had heard/read, it was a test of military equipment. I can't remember where I read that, so if someone could back me up or correct me, that'd be appreciated.
