Lickass is horrible. They better not bring him here

I'm not saying he is good or not, but he is on live in at least LA, SD, SF, and Portland. So, if Bonaduce is going to have a show and it has to come out of LA, it will have to be on between 10am-3pm or after 7pm Pacific Time. So, if he was going to be on live in NY, you have to figure out his slot from those times.

Ok here is the problem with Free Fm across the country. They are working it to make it less talent and more the same across the board. That will not work, it never worked and that is why no else is doing it. You need local talent and you need to make sure that you have the best local talent you can get for the area. I know what about Stern? He was not number 1 across the board, he held good numbers across the country but he was Northeast and he ruled in this area. Free Fm wants to keep the numbers down(salaries to talent) and run it across the board. This is not going to work. Example: O&A in SF and Carolla is the CA market. It's just not working. Make the talent a local thing and move them into other markets that are close. I am sure the new PD at WFNY 92.3 knows the game and will take care of it. He also knows that a new show is not going to hit in a few months, it takes at least 1 and half years. Stern even said this about DLR.

I'm a huge advocate of local talent. However, WFNY seems to have a fairly significant representation of local talent (ie O/A, Doghouse), yet they are still failing. So, I'm guessing that there's another part of the equation missing.

Things have really been going good for the Doghouse of late. Yesterday they were on Wendy Williams show on WBLS and they have gotten a really strong following.

Who was the comedian that they had on the show today? I only heard a few minutes and did not know who he was.

It was Jim Breuer from SNL.

Now the Dog House is doing a political show? Now they are having Army people on and doing a political show? They have really changed the show, now it is funny and serious all at the same time. I wonder what the fans think of this.

1. I'm a woman
2. I live in NYC but have ties to The Bay and other areas on the west coast.
3. I stand by my statement; the Dog House were going to get canned but got a reprieve (for now) because Mark Chernoff decided to relinquish his duties and he went back full time to WFAN.
4. Happy Holidays

I will not be able to respond to any further comments for at least 24 hours as I will be traveling.

How come you did not say you are AE for WFNY , which you stated before. You said you were also not able to sell any ads for the Doghouse and you knew for a fact that they would not be resigned. You worked hand and hand with Chernoff and were the only one at WFNY that knew anything. So lets start by saying you are full of ------ and post every once and awhile about the Doghouse and how they are getting fired. I know that all the AE's at WFNY sit in with the GM and PD to make up the station line-up. You better get back to NY, because WFNY is really missing you.

Now as per the Dog House salaries, JV mentioned on air that they were being paid over $1 million each and then it went up. That is why they did not move to LA when they were offered a gig in LA.

Now you're crossposting posts from other boards just to bump your thread? You really need to get a life.

Face it. The Doghouse has a countdown clock for when their contract is up. Happy employees don't do that. Don't you get it that it's over for them?

And you believe that?........ :D.......No way, not happening, period. They also didn't go to LA because they didn't get a gig in LA, they wanted to go to Star when they bounced Bonaduche, and repositioed it as a true Modern Ac which would not have been a good fit for them.

Gimme a break a mil a piece. They're doing a decent show but it's also still a mid day show on a station where mid days just dont justify million dollar paychecks. Sorry.

They were being paid 1 million plus in SF. That is what I was talking about. They also said that they were thinking of moving the show to LA and that is when the SF station ponied up the money and they stayed.

They did go to LA for a while. I forget what year it was, but a while back, they were on BOTH LA, and SF stations, then for some reason they stopped. Anybody have more details on this?

PSS what happened to Ruthie?

Clear Channel didn't want to sydicate into LA. Just like CBS won't sudicate into new york.. They want the big shows in the big citys.... JV and Elvis wouldn't move to LA.....

I believe they were at a mil a piece in SF, I dont believe they were going to LA because there was nowhere for them to go. The hip hop station there has Big Boy who is an LA staple, and Bonaduche was at Star, they were not going to replace Rick Dees, end of options so unfortunately they were probably just talking S as shows tend to do about themselves. They all do it, all of them.
