The Dumbing Down of ME-TV and Senseless Thriller Move

Regarding the ME TV schedule, while this is overall still the best channel on cable along with TCM I'm disappointed in some of their moves. To play more Gilligan's Island and Hogan's Heroes episodes than Taxi, Mary Tyler Moore and Dick Van Dyke for example is spotlighting poorer quality shows. I'm not saying all these shows shouldn't be played but the emphasis is wrong.
Also, the dumbest move in the short history of ME TV has to be the scheduling of Thriller weekday overnights at 3am. Don't get me wrong. I loved this show growing up. But it ran for only two seasons and quite a few of the episodes were not that good. Perhaps they are running it off to fulfill a contract. It just doesn't make sense.

ME-TV would be wise to get rid of the Dick Van Dyke show. They have beat that horse to death. Their evening schedule needs reworking to say the least. I think F Troop will be an improvement since they have show Van Dyke episodes over and over and over and over. It is stale. I thought Thriller was an interesting show. I also wish some of the late night shows could be shown in prime time.

IMHO - They could yank that entire Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler-Moore, Rhoda block and replace it with some shows that haven't been in syndication for a while (i.e. Night Court) and that would make me very happy...

....why do they play the same shows other channels are running i.e. MASH (don't get me wrong I love MASH) but TV Land runs the show too (probably the only decent show they have) I Love Lucy has been running ad nauseum on Hallmark channel etc..

... and as far as I'm concerned their weekday schedule from 12noon to 6P is one great big snooze fest...

I haven't seen this much DVD overkill since Nick At Nite's old "preserving our television heritage" campaign...
