The edge 1039 or fm1039 it is a sad story at this cuuernt point and time:(

I just do not get it back when kzon was alternative the edge had pretty good numbers well like around a 2. They sounded really goood in summer 2004 when they refocused the music a really good station. Then mark got fired kzon flipped and it just seems 1039 seem to lose there way. Riviera purchasing them did not help at all they made things far worse. Firing mark and brought in some guy forget his name added all this active rock. News flash peeps for the most part alt and active aside from a few select songs do not mix!!!

But i always found it odd that 1039 numbers have been far lower without competition then with competition. It seems competition made them a better station but now it is sad they can't seem to find there stride:(

I found the station to be really best in summer of 2004.

It seems kzon should of stuck in there they would be far better off now then what they are they should never have flipped ever!!!

Heres wishing 1039 well and hope they find a way to make alt not active but alt music work in the valley of the sun:)
 
They were best in 1992 actually on 106.3. They would do resurrection weekends often, playing all the pioneers of the format (in the fashion of 91X). They had a talented night guy that went by the Minister, and on Sunday Nights, he did a show with DJ Randall (rest in peace) from Atomic Cafe called "the Noisy Donut Shop" playing Industrial like Ministry, KMFDM and NIN (before they sold out). Other specialty shows I miss from that era are Groove Radio, Planet Edge, and the Edge Factor.
 
Did you hear??? Marc Young is back and programming the station again which means the station will be good again
 
Thanks to riviera it maybe to late no matter whom programs it:( They have done to much damage to 1039!!!

Now if kzon goes back to alternative 1039 may have a chance:)
