The "F" Word On DePetro. Will FCC Issue Fines?

Apparently, its okay to use the "F" word on WRKO's John DePetro show.

A caller this morning who sounded like he just stumbled out of a bar in Dawchesta called about the current muslim terrorist and said it was "absolutely F***ing necessary" to profile.

Neither DePetro nor his producer hit the dump button.

Asleep at the switch or a new tactic on DePetro?

Will the FCC step with fines as they did with Stern?
 
Only if someone complains to the FCC. They don't go looking for violations. They are reactive.

if you posted your statement at 831, how did you hear any swear on DePetro? he show starts at 9
 
BostonRose is so pro-RKO we can see through his / her defensive postings. Is it Amy at WRKO (is she still there?) or DePetro himself.

The Radio-Info.com board may post times an hour behind, or Casablance's computer might be programmed for Central Time or something. It doesn't necessarily mean he was psychic. You don't have to be psychic to know John DePetro is just bad radio.

Your time/hour post stamp is an adjustable setting in your profile preferences. He may have had his set incorrectly.

Apparently,it is OK for you to smear people you don't like.
You did this with Trooper Grant & now one of your favorite targets moves into the crosshairs once again.
It is very tiresome!!!

Sorry, bud. You must work at RKO and they doctored the tape but I heard the guy drop the F Bomb. You are WRONG as DePetro says.

Anyone can change the hour on their post time stamps in their profile preferences, and it may not be set correctly for your area by default if you don't ever reset it.

Mine is set to EDT, and my post time stamp is corresponding to the clock across from me, but I had to reset it a few months ago to get it like that. It wasn't previously set to the correct hour by default.
 
Someone will have to go back in time to tape that portion of the DePetro show, as proof, or maybe
demand they turn over the tape. Who knows.

I am back in the area...drove to Baltimore and Washington, DC for a few days then up to Vermont
with a pitstop in Western Mass. When the security alert was in the news I was able to hear some
coverage of it on DePetro (yes it was coming in on I-91 heading north),etc....not too bad.

Air America fans: it comes in well on WWDC 1260 in DC...also WVAA 1390 in Burl VT has a good signal in that area, though I opted for stuff like Howie via WVMT. WEAV 960 (lic. to Plattsburgh across the lake)
which carries the VT Lake Monsters has a very good signal in northern New England.

And yes while up in Burlington and St Albans, beaucoup de radio Canadien en francais et anglais...

And by all means if you want to go up the Washington Monument either get your tickets before
your trip or be like me standing in line by 8 am at the Park Service kiosk!
