Could They Go CHR/Pop It's Sounds The Same Stunning As They Did In Indina A Couple Of Weeks Ago

It seems more logical than Praise 106. I'll betcha anything that story from inside the building is nothing more than a plant.

could be...but...I've heard a male voice drop of "106-7...Praise 106" within the construction SFX twice today:
and I didn't have it on for very long (great e-skip today...see DX board)
if I was stunting, I'd throw some red herrings in the mix...so who knows?

Jeez...not more Christian crap. The whole Nashville radio dial has become one big WNAH.

accurate as always..."the whole Nashville radio dial"...
please enlighten us more.

How stupid are they at Cume-clue-less???? Another contemporary Christian??? WHY??
There's Way Fm, The Fish, and that Gospel combo not to mention 2 or 3 on AM.
They are DUMB DUMB DUMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only format that Nashville
needs is a 100 percent Alternative or a Rhythmic AC.
I can't believe they're doing this. They need to be slapped upside the head for two reasons:
1. For letting this damned sports station go on for years and years being at the bottom
or the ratings and 2. For launching a format that already exists on several other
frequencies. IDIOTS.

You guys are NOT being very tolerate of Crumulass. They need this format. Cause a little divine intervention is ONLY thing
that will save this entire cluster....(although I still like 97.1's music MAC!) Gotta have a little fun at their expense.

C'mon, they can't be this clueless. Praise 106 HAS to be a decoy for what they're really doing.

KrOnic --- you win. That has to be the funniest comment of 2009, so far. Well played!

One advantage WNFN does have over the Fish is that the transmitter actually is in Nashville, not the suburbs.

Not one mention of WNAZ so far? That probably isn't a good sign for them . . .

and BTW...nice work on the construction sounds loop: very innovative and original. ???
Bott Radio did the same thing 4 or 5 years ago when they took over 1160 AM from WAMB and changed to Christian Talk Radio a few days later. When I first heard the construction sounds in the background this morning, that was the first format I thought of, they were going either Christian Talk or Christian Comtemporary. Doesn't sound very inventive to me.

I thought bot's construction stunt seemed more friendly. I liked hearing the person talking saying, "hand me that saw." Bull dosers in control rooms can be dangerous...Even if they are on hard drives.

And I don't what they will do if Royalty Tax passes. Another epic fail for Cumulus!

Whatever their format, it will not succeed. Cumulus will not support it, it will be another room in their building, Cumulus will not market it, they don't spend money and Cumulus will get even tougher on the sellers of the signal, because they think it is their fault that the station did not succeed.

"The Fan... has been competing for Nashville sports fans against Citadel's WGFX (104.5 the Zone) and Southern Wabash Communications' WNSR (SportsRadio 560)..."

I take issue with this statement from the above article. Specifically, the word "competing"...

I thought All Access' statement from yesterday was funnier — they said the Fan was leaving Nashville's crowded sports market. Huh?

Let me throw this one out there:

RQQ moves to 106.7 and the real format change is at 97.1? I think 97.1 is slightly behind 106.7 in format changes so this could help even the playing field?

Nock

Nock. you maybe on to something. I also remember years ago when 99.7 had ESPN radio on nights and weekends could happen again, not likely but possible.

Cumulus did the construction noise stunting when they dropped the talk format from 96.5 WFTK a few years ago and took it active rock. They even had a thing on the station's website that would load a different decoy station logo every time you loaded the page, from all sports to all disco. Not being too familiar with the Nashville market, I don't have a good guess as to what 106.7 will become, but I agree with what others have said here that Contemporary Christian seems unlikely.

Tell me how sick this is

I am going to leave my desk at work, go down to my car and listen for the new format. (I got back from lunch @ 12:40)
