KVNS pounds in up here in McKinney. Even with KKLF 1700 right here in Mckinney. When i was in Wylie I had a wire strung outside and KVNS pounded in on it. yet if i disconnected the antenna KKLF came in. KVNS is usually coming in under KKLF here too.

KVNS has only 880 watts at night. KKLF has 1,000
KVNS does have a website it is http://www.oldiesradioonline.com

The only thing I can get from northern Illinois on 1700 is sports radio in Des Moines, Ia or sometimes Miami.

after reading this thread tried to to see if I could hear Brownsville in east TN. 4/1 between 930p and 1030p could hear a mix of sports and oldies, but never an ID. suspect the oldies was Brownsville.

Their IDs are few and far between; I've never actually heard one (or any semblance of a local commercial or commercials) myself though I know exactly what station I'm hearing. But yes, the oldies have to be Brownsville. That signal shouldn't have a problem hitting Tennessee even with 800 watts at night.

The sports was probably Des Moines.
