congrats!! with all the clutter in the band this must be the equivalent of 2800-3000 mi cross country reception of 30-40 yrs ago!
I got KSL once from Englewood Fl (a short while back) which is approx the same distance.

Add my congratulations on your very nice catch.

In addition to being in the upper part of the band, WCKY has the advantage of being able to stay non-directional for a couple of hours after local Cincinnati sunset before needing to protect KFBK. The result here in Northern Illinois is a monster signal in the late evening. So-so later in the night (when KXEL gives it some occasionally serious splatter).

Nice catch and great station to catch. Used to be one of my favorite stations when I was teenager. Gary Burbank got one of his early Cincy area gigs there.

Wow! I have to say congratulations on the monster catch there. You got WBBM just last week and now you got WCKY. That's an absolutely amazing catch and you're having some good luck up your way!

I think conditions must be good right now. I read on a message board that an Ontario DX'er may have got KNX last night. Of course I tried for them and only got slop. All I can brag about from this weekend is a new state. New Hampshire. From my location in Michigan, that's child's play compared to your catch.

Actually, Lawppy, I did not get WBBM, WDAE FM 101 got it on his headset. All I get is KKOH at night.

My bad! I knew someone out in Seattle got WBBM recently. And I still think DX conditions must be good right now. Seems like i'm the only person who hasn't got a monster catch yet.

Still, WCKY in Washington is no small feat in the DX department.

I still got ya all beat for the time being,, and on FM no less,, in cold weather... Magic 96.5 Aruba into indiana..Distance 2150 miles.... I dout I will ever be able to break that FM DX record till the day i die.
