The Florida Radio Hall of Fame

No offense...but this 1995-looking website seems like a scam created to bilk people out of money for memberships. This is nothing more than a P.O. Box in Yulee (near the Georgia border) waiting for checks that will obviously be cashed in St. Marys, Georgia (from where John Long runs the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame website)

Florida has a lot of radio history, both with stations and personalities. I can't believe anybody with radio credibility would refer to this as the Florida Radio Hall of Fame.

When I go to this website, the title bar on Internet Explorer reads "Flordia Radio, St. Marys GA". Couldn't even spell "Florida" correctly, and still has the Georgia reference.

Common. Let's put a little bit of pride in what we do. This is why Pandora thinks they can wipe terrestrial radio off the face of the earth.

Hilarious, the "President" is from Georgia, he says that in the first line.....hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Yeah, I'm not falling for this one either!! BIGAPE!

That's alright. We went through the same kind of stuff when we set The Georgia Radio Hall of Fame up back in 2007. Somehow it's made it nearly five years with hundreds of members and a sold out induction ceremony every year. This year Emmy award winning actor and Sirius radio host (not to mention Florida Radio alum) Jay Thomas is our Emcee. And by the way, I never thought of "Been Fired from Some of the Nations Best Radio Stations" was a great legacy, but, hey what do I know? I programmed the BIG APE to numbers that have yet to be repeated.

I'm just curious during what years were you program director at WAPE? I was with WAPE-AM-FM in the 1980s.

OK I have to admit when I am wrong.. I found out who this is and John is on the up and up on this.. A friend of mine who worked with me at Southern Broadcasting, Randy Kabrick, is on the advisory board..so, I'm good to go with it.. John, you must have been in JAX around 75 or so?
