Does anyone know what Entercom is going to do with these AMS since the News/talk has been moved over to 106.3 FM? I have heard that they may flip to Oldies! They do have Bob McClain who is programming the talk station. He progarmmed WOTO Oldies in Memphis and did Oldies 106.3 before Barnstable sold the station about three years ago. Has anyone else heard this?

Sounds more like a wish than a reality. Right now, I'm betting there's still lots of people who still listen on AM just because of habit. And 106.3's signal is scratchy in northern parts of Spartanburg County and the Upstate.

If anything I could see them going sports, or Entercom selling them.

GT&GO, take a breath dude! You've been all over the darn place!

Is 106.3 in mono? If not, going mono would take care of a lot of fringe reception issues.

The AM's should go for sports. It's really the only logical choice.

I agree that the Sports Talk format would be good for 950 and 1330, if it is done right. They don`t need to be all automated ESPN or FOXSports outlets. You would need to mix in ALOT of local sports talk with good local hosts. It is interesting to note that Anderson has WANS AM 1280-ESPN with some local sports talk with live local sports talk on WRIX FM 103.1 at night. Clemson has WCCP-FM 104.9 with local sports talk. The local Greenville area really has nothing. The last time that I remember the local Greenville area having a good local sports talk show, it was with the late Jim Phillips on WFBC-AM 1330 back in the 1980`s and early 1990`s.
