The Good and the bad at Kiss 95.1 and what NEEDS to CHANGE!

First of all, congrats for going online (listening live)!! Your making progress!

Kiss needs to make some changes for the 2007 year like the fellowing:
1. a better music programing, 2. new d.j,s like AT40 and 3. a club/music show! The thing what they do on saturday nights is good but Marc Saint John is horrible, he sounds so gay and a retard, seriously! I want ot see Kiss change because they need to and Charlotte needs it badly and desperately!

Thoughts??

With all due respect, don't you think (and this is coming from a 20 year vet of nightclubs and radio) that there are already enough mixshows in Charlotte on Saturday night.
I LOVE mixshows personally and have had a few of my own but geeeeez, when does it become overkill?

Correct. We don't need another dance mix show. I like the party music on Saturday's at KISS and personally Marc St John is great. High energy(like the 80's, sarcastically funny and is the best non-liner card reader, part time personality I've heard in this market. Plus from what I've heard, he has been in radio for over 20 years.

The Good: Ace and TJ

I listen to them, and I'm not even in their key demo.

The Bad: More Variety. Don't play the same ten songs over and over. This isn't just a problem with Kiss. It's CHR radio in general.

I agree. There are enough club/mix shows on already. The op sounds young considering he used "gay" and "retarded" in his thread. Most people over 25 don't talk like that so I assume he cannot relate to some of the older music on Kiss Saturday nights. Personally, too me, I like Kiss Saturday nights. I think Kiss needs to ease/lessen on the hip hop. I am not saying they need to be Hot AC, but maybe an adult leaning CHR. There are enough urban/hip hop/rap stations in Charlotte...96.1, 97.9 have rap ,covered pretty well.

I like ACE-Tj, but they do there demos on the radio tooo much, i sware! Its like what they do every song! And personally, dont get there jokes! ACE-TJ sounds more like a country radio funny morning show, not a CHR morning show! This is my opinion!

An adult leaning CHR would work well for Kiss. I don't think HOT AC would be bad for them either. I know people say HOT AC didn't work at 107.9, but The Link has always been more personality-driven than format driven.

Here's another idea for Kiss: The day after Christmas, CC-Raleigh flipped WRSN Sunny 93.9 to rhythmic AC as WKSL 93.9 Kiss FM, and so far it sounds pretty good. Maybe rhythmic AC would work in Charlotte? From the variety of "upbeat" songs I've heard so far on WKSL, I don't see where the format would interfere with 96.1 The Beat, any more so than 93.9 Kiss would G105 here.
