The incredible story of Marion Stokes, who single-handedly taped 35 years of TV news

From 1977 to 2012, she recorded 140,000 VHS tapes worth of history. Now the Internet Archive has a plan to make them public and searchable.

What a woman! And especially all that stuff from the late 1970s she taped - that's very rare airchecks right there. Most TV stations never saved their 1970s tapes.

I wonder how long it'll take the Internet Archive to digitize all of those tapes, wow. Time for more servers, I guess :D

I kinda wish I still had all my old taped stuff. I didn't have anywhere near as much as that lady, though.
