The Latest Radio Goodies From The WFMU Blog.....

Interesting find there, Bong. I've always been intrigued by jingles from those companies that haven't survived the test of time. The thing I noticed is that the front "sting" that appears at 3:41 sounds like one I've heard from another jingle company so I wonder if the company named on the tape box shown on the referenced blog was just a middle man for another jingle producer.

They could be. All I know is I like the old school "Stereo 95" stingers.

And don't forget these.....

I just can't say enough about WFMU. They are just an AMAZING resource of lost and forgotten radio culture goodies. All in the public domain. Their blog is WELL worth exploring. I've had HOURS of fun up here.....

Here's another classic radio related gem I dug up on 365 Days Project (another fine service of WFMU). They are a production GOLDMINE it you're looking for pop culture kitsch.......

That's why I send them a check twice a year. Unlike a sorry number of public radio stations out there, WFMU is WORTH it......
