It's in the middle of the night and we are still hours away from B98.5 FM's 98 at 9. But did you ever wonder how the 98 at 9 gets there? Why right now as most of Atlanta sleeps with office workers nestled all snug in their beds. with visions of sugar-plums dancing in their heads, special 98 at 9 musical elves are hard at work for you! They're in the Cox Atlanta's basement debating amongst themselves: “Can we play this Sarah McLachlan song next to Matchbox 20?” “Is this quarter-hour of music truly earning of the distinction of being Atlanta's Best Variety of Soft Rock?” The dare I say magical, musical elves of B98.5 FM, that's how 98 at 9 happens!

I grabbed my PPM meter to see what was the matter.

PPM meter--is that like an ATM machine? Or DC current? :)
 
What is it about this one radio station that drives people nuts on this board?

They're successful. They have great ratings. They have long-serving air talent. All those things should be applauded--don't you think? But, mirroring John Belushi: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

It's hard to understand. Why not go after a lousy station run poorly with terrible management, air talent, and lousy ratings?

Check out the Providence board anytime. Lots of WALE chatter there from time to time...
