While a few different stations in Las Vegas went wall-to-wall MJ...Tuning around XM found nothing on any channel. Around 5pm PDT, I checked the 70's, 80's, 90's, 20 on 20, The Groove, The Heat, The Strobe. Nothing. I can't believe that XM couldn't find someone in the building to go live and do a tribute to MJ. The magic of voicetracking... :(
 
Damn! And I just dumped XM. One place I could have found without the endless BS on MJ.
 
The Digital Millenium Copyright Act forbids Sirius XM from playing multiple songs by the same artist back to back.
 
Is that why there is the all Elvis channel, the all Grateful Dead channel, the all Springsteen channel, and other various channels that do nothing but play one artist for a couple months?

In fact, there was the all MJ channel not all that long ago.

They have to get a special waiver from the copyright owner to do that. Tough to do on short notice.

Heart & Soul on Sirius/XM is the all Michael Jackson Tribute channel for a time.
 
I know this will be a big big shock to you fella, but millions of people couldn't care LESS what happened to Jackson. I'm sick of hearing from Rev Al and THE REV Jesse Jackson with their mugs on the TV all day about Jackson this and Jackson that. I'm pleased XM didn't follow suit.
