The Men & Women Who Have Voiced Valley Radio

James (who voiced KPHO's opens and promos until he died of a heart attack) lived in Scottsdale IIRC.

I have a non-favorite: Jim Cutler (national ESPN Radio, KTAR AM). Seriously. I'm ashamed that MSNBC is now using him (probably because The Weather Channel and Versus do). Overused voice.
 
I've always enjoyed Chuck Riley and Eric Edwards on KKFR, Power 92 in the early '90s!
Bumper Morgan on Y95 and later Mitch Craig on Y95 and later on Mega 104.3 / Energy Arizona.
Harry Legg on Energy Arizona.

What about your favorite women who voiced Valley radio??
 
I liked Corrina when she was on KZZP Middays. I thought she was great. I miss the live and local at KZZP. So many changes, I remember when Special K worked nights. All this voicetracking is just garbage to me.

There was a guy who used to work nights on KMXP Chris Marino. He had a great radio voice. I am surprised the lineup changes at KMXP since I moved here back in May 2006.

Speaking of KMXP I really enjoyed John Price, used to work Middays and the totally all request 80s lunch, god those where the days when they actually took requests and played it through the entire hour. Last time I check it was starting at 12:30, boo hoo. Thumbs down. LOL

I thought Bruce Gary did great on KTAR Traffic Reports Midday with Dianne Brennan. He seemed to have a smooth flow. Then eventually he was just working Saturdays and then no more. He worked there when they used the old radio beds which are far superior to the current line-up. Any idea what happened to this guy? Maybe he left radio? Let's petition to bring back the old traffic beds. Who is with me?

Bill Austin will truly be missed, he and Beth had great chemistry. This is so terrible I can't for the life of me remember who used to host Middays on KSEZ? It hasn't always been voicetracked by Robin Rock, because she used to voicetrack for WOOD FM Grand Rapids, now WSRW FM.

Back to the 80's I remember fondly a woman named Slim on KKFR and Randy Stewart from the original KZZP and Johnny Collier from KJJJ.
 
I liked the late Chuck Reiley when he voiced Power 92 in the early 90's along with Eric Edwards who voiced Power 92/ 96.9 K-Hits KHTC, Bumper Morgan on Y95, Mitch Craig on Y95 and Mega 104.3/ Energy Arizona. Harry Legg KNRJ, Energy Arizona and Charlie Van Dyke. As for the women, I liked Lisa Malay who used to work for KMLE, Dena Yasner and Liz Boyle.
 
Bumper Morgan has always been a favorite. Voice cuts thru.....classic CHR sound. Mitch Craig, St.John, and I always wished I could have had Cahrlie Van Dyke voice my station.
