The company behind D.L. Hughley's local morning show on Kiss-FM has been sued by Hughley by Kiss' parent company, Emmis, after he had complained that he was not getting paid. As part of the lawsuit, Emmis requested that Hughley's radio company, URBan Radio, which had intended to eventually syndicate his program, terminate their contract with Hughley. However, URBan has countersued Emmis, claiming their contract is valid, and that Emmis has reneged on giving ad time to URBan.
