I have to say that after seeing the first two episodes tonight(March 13th), I'm very impressed with the show and Julia Louis-Dreyfus fits the role perfectly. Let's hope she really breaks the "Seinfeld" curse because this one looks like a winner.

Gee, Robert....

I thought the show had died already...because you're the death-poster guy for the website. I was a-scared for Julia almost. :eek:P

I could only stand about the first five minutes. This program had the most forced and over-used laugh track I have ever heard. She wakes up in the middle of the night and leaves a message to herself. Then she whines at her kid. None of it was funny. None of it was interesting. But if they had not used the obviously fake laugh track (and just gone with studio audience reaction) and let the situation build, they might have had a chance. Of course, maybe the network stuck so much laugh track in there because the studio audience never laughed and they are trying to save a train wreck.

It reminds me of "hotter" version of "Reba".

I thought that the show was great and was very impressed. Julia Louis-Dreyfus still has her Elaine character from Seinfeld. I hope this show doesn't die.<P ID="signature">______________

My take

HUGE Seinfeld fan here...here's my non-biased review:

Average divorced family sitcom....we've seen it done before. Take out Julia and you don't give the show a second thought...some comical moments, but not something I will schedule around.

Well it looks like "Old Christine" seems to be winning new fans.

According to overnight estimates, the two episodes helped CBS win the Monday night race, especially in the 9:30/8:30 slot.
