The "New" New Mix 103-7 and other Richmond ramblings

Well, my April Fools joke was right...but not exactly how I thought it would be. I was expecting a return of B103, instead it's a warmed-over version of the "old" Mix with a new logo and a few more Cheryl Crow songs mixed in. If nothing else, they're promoting the crud out of it on TV. Flop or a fly-away hit? I'm just not sure.

Y-101: Any clue when they're looking to move to their new Mechanicsville tower?

WCVE/AFR: Are they going to build on their construction permits? WCVE has one in Chase City (WMVE) and AFR has one for the West End/Short Pump area (WRIH). Both of these permits expire later this fall.

Anything else worth noting in the area? I don't think I'm missing much ;D

WRIH appears to be on the air. Do we really need another religious station in Richmond?

I still miss WGOE.
